Holiday Pics

Here are a few pictures from our drawn out holiday. We celebrated for 4 days! Ally got her FILL of gifts - and had a great time of course. She's really got the hang of this whole Christmas thing. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

We asked Ally what Santa likes to drink with her cookies, and she said "beer" (classic), so of course, we left him a nice cold Corona!

Could we get a good smile Ally?

New Name?

Don't you think it's about time for a new name for my blog? Since it's been over a year since I started it, and the name is "A Year in the Life of the Musatov's". Any suggestions?

Merry Christmas!

Here I am, sitting at work. Waiting (patiently) for my boss to tell me to go home. Come on, anytime now.

We're going over to my mom's house for dinner tonight. I'm excited for ham and all the traditional fixings. Tomorrow we are going to Adam's uncles house for another awesome dinner, I'm sure. The next day we're going to Adam's mom's house for a fantastic Ukrainian meal - vareniki, borscht, piroshki, etc. All DELICIOUS, I might add.

Can't wait to spend time with family and just enjoy time together. Ally is so excited to open presents. It's so heartwarming to see the twinkle in her eye when she thinks about ripping open those gifts! I'm very proud of her too, she hasn't tried to open any of her gifts under the tree yet. She has peeked into her stocking a couple times though. She is wearing the Hannah Montana underwear we put in there. I had to give in a little. ;) Tonight Adam will put together the Disney Princess talking kitchen we got for her. Can't wait to see the look on her face in the morning when she sees that in her bedroom.

Ah, to be a kid again. Maybe next year at this time we'll have another Musatov running (well, they wouldn't be running yet) around. I can hope, can't I?

To the two people that read my blog, may your holidays be special and your hearts be full!

Grateful

I had my 30th birthday party this weekend, on Saturday! I woke up, looked out the window, and waited for the "I'm sorry, I need to cancel" calls to start rolling in. Surprisingly only a few people needed to cancel. I was happy and grateful that so many people made the trip to my parent's house to help roll in my 30th year. A BIG thank you to my mom and sister for making the party happen - you guys mean the world to me! I'm a lucky girl. After the party at my mom's, we headed to Maxx to see an 80's band (Rockit Science). Good times. Here are a couple pics from the occasion!

Weekend Plans

Happy Friday, everyone!

At a work function the other day, I was the lucky winner of an overnight hotel stay in the Twin Cities. Tomorrow our plan is to go see the Christmas display at Macy's downtown, and then stay in the hotel overnight. Should be fun. Ally and Adam can swim, I can watch from the sidelines. You think I'm putting a swimsuit on? Heck no!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Stay warm.

Bowling

Last week, me, Ally, my sister Vanessa, her boyfriend Joe, my mom and my dad all went bowling at Ham Lake Lanes. It was Ally's second time bowling, and she actually got shoes this time. Smallest size they had was a 9, she's a 6 1/2, so they were a bit big, but cute nonetheless. Here are a few pictures of the fun occasion!

Guess which one is Ally? Cute.

Help me, auntie!

Yep, this ramp works much better

Good Point

My friend Angie had such a great point when she wrote this post. It's something we should all keep in mind.
'And these are the days of Angie's life...': Be thankful and don't forget what this season is REALLY about

Kids say the darndest things

Last night, Ally and I were laying in bed watching Friday Night Lights on DVD (LOVE that show, by the way). Adam came into the room and was kinda messing with Ally, asking if he could lay in bed with us. She said "knock it off, go away right now". It was so darn cute. We were just shocked to hear her say that - where do kids pick this stuff up? Someone at school must like to say that or something. She's certainly becoming her own person, that's for sure. They grow up too quick.

Children's Museum

Yesterday, me and my friends Kelly and Amie took our kids (the toddlers at least) to the Children's Museum. The kids and the moms had a blast! Here are a few pictures to enjoy. I'm also going to attempt to post a video too.
