Life Update

Happy snowy Monday! Will this winter EVER end?

I started my new job at Totino's the week before last. Well, we opened last Wednesday and I worked that night, and Thursday. It went GREAT. They still need to work out a few kinks (mostly just accomodations for the waitstaff). I think everyone is very happy with the new restaurant though, and I must say that the tips have been very helpful. :)

Ally is doing great. She has been a little sick with a cold, but who hasn't?

Me and Ally went to my great aunt Helen's 90th birthday party this weekend in the huge town of Cable, WI. It was fun to see all my relatives on the Hedberg side and just hang out. All the cousins went to the bar at the hotel on Saturday night and whooped it up! We were the only ones in there, so I'm pretty sure we annoyed the bartender by staying until close, playing random songs on the jukebox and just generally having a good time! We took lots of fun pictures, which I'll post when I get from them. My aunt Cindy was knitting, and I think that would be a fun thing to take up. You know, in my spare time when I'm not working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at Totino's. ;) We'll see...

I kind of feel like I might be picking up a little illness too. I have been really achey today and just tired. Oh well, hopefully it'll pass and I'll be fine for work tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and I'll post again soon!

Here he is!

Tyler Kenneth Hedberg
born March 26th
7 lbs, 8 oz.
We are so excited you're here!
I got to hold him on Friday night, I didn't want to put him down. I already have baby fever, so this just put me over the top. ONE DAY I'll be able to have another one.

New Hedberg baby boy

I'm proud to announce the arrival of my new nephew, Tyler Kenneth Hedberg (Kenneth after my late grandfather)! He came into the world at around 9:30 last night, conehead and all. I get to meet him tomorrow night, when we go to St. Cloud to see the little guy! Congrats to the parents - my brother Eric and his wife Angie. Also, congrats to big brother Ryan. We love you. Can't wait to see you tomorrow! I'll post pictures soon. The only pic I have is on my phone.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a happy Easter! We did. We went to my mom's house first and had a good ol' fashioned Easter Egg hunt. All the kids could find 5 eggs. Then they turned the eggs into my mom for a prize. For each egg, the kids got a quarter. $1.25 later, Ally's rich! My neice Hope (she's 7) blurted out, "now I have way more money than $317.00". So cute. I guess I know who to rob if I get desperate for money. This picture (above) is of Ally at her grandma Mary's house. We also went there for dinner yesterday. She got 2 Easter baskets: one from her auntie Shannon, and one from her auntie Marge. She's so lucky to have such great relatives! Marge also bought her the dress she's wearing, which was absolutely ADORABLE on her. Ally does this thing where she sticks her finger in the dimples on her cheeks. So cute.

Here are Adam and Ally looking for Easter eggs. I think they found one. ;) Adam looks excited.

Here is Ally sitting next to her cousin Ryan. He just had surgery to unblock the shunt he has in his head. He's doing really well now and looking like such a big boy! We love you Ryan. He has a little brother on the way too, who is due April 1st. We can't wait for another boy to carry on the Hedberg name.

I really wanted to get a family picture yesterday. Unfortunately, I was too busy taking pictures to think about it. One of these days...

New Job

What a gorgeous day! I was so excited to not have to use the heat in my car this afternoon when I stepped out for lunch. As far as I'm concerned, all the snow can melt and I can finally turn off the heat in my house and open some windows!

Well, I have some good news. I got a second job. I guess I don't know if it's good news or bad news, since we need money. I will be working at Totino's Italian Restaurant. They used to be located in NE Mpls, but have moved to Mounds View. They have been in business for over 50 years and yes, they made those famous Totino's party pizzas (they don't anymore). They are about a mile from my work at Medtronic. It'll be great to just drive over there after work and start makin' some money (tips)! I'm excited to be a server again. I worked at Ruby Tuesday in college and absolutely loved it. I also worked at Green Mill when I lived in Willmar, and those were some of the best times I ever had! It's great to meet all the different people and it's a very active job. Maybe I can work off some of the Winter poundage. Totino's is opening soon in Mounds View - I'll keep you posted of the exact date and will hopefully see some of you there! Enjoy the warm weather.

An Update

Happy March! How time flies. Did February just come and go or what?

Things have been pretty much the same in the Musatov household. Not anything too exciting to report on. We did turn in our Saturn ION, and ended up getting....wait for it....another Saturn ION. This time, it's a 2007 (our other one was a 2004), with 25,000 miles. We really wanted a van or SUV, but with the payment we were shooting for, this was our only option. Oh well, maybe in another couple years. Hopefully we'll have another baby by then.

Adam and his cousin Trav are getting a lot of DJ gigs. They have about 7 lined up already for this year. If you ever hear of anyone looking for a DJ for any occasion, contact me and I'll get you their info. They are a couple of really fun guys and they do a great job! They don't have a website yet, but one is in the works.

On another note, Ally went pee in the toilet this morning! She is really becoming such a big girl! Of course, I had to give her candy for doing such a good job. She was eating Smarties at 7:00 this morning. Oh well, life is too short to worry about if your kid is eating candy at 7:00 in the morning.

Hopefully I'll have something fun to report on in the next few weeks! Until then, take care.
