Holiday Pics

Here are a few pictures from our drawn out holiday. We celebrated for 4 days! Ally got her FILL of gifts - and had a great time of course. She's really got the hang of this whole Christmas thing. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

We asked Ally what Santa likes to drink with her cookies, and she said "beer" (classic), so of course, we left him a nice cold Corona!

Could we get a good smile Ally?

New Name?

Don't you think it's about time for a new name for my blog? Since it's been over a year since I started it, and the name is "A Year in the Life of the Musatov's". Any suggestions?

Merry Christmas!

Here I am, sitting at work. Waiting (patiently) for my boss to tell me to go home. Come on, anytime now.

We're going over to my mom's house for dinner tonight. I'm excited for ham and all the traditional fixings. Tomorrow we are going to Adam's uncles house for another awesome dinner, I'm sure. The next day we're going to Adam's mom's house for a fantastic Ukrainian meal - vareniki, borscht, piroshki, etc. All DELICIOUS, I might add.

Can't wait to spend time with family and just enjoy time together. Ally is so excited to open presents. It's so heartwarming to see the twinkle in her eye when she thinks about ripping open those gifts! I'm very proud of her too, she hasn't tried to open any of her gifts under the tree yet. She has peeked into her stocking a couple times though. She is wearing the Hannah Montana underwear we put in there. I had to give in a little. ;) Tonight Adam will put together the Disney Princess talking kitchen we got for her. Can't wait to see the look on her face in the morning when she sees that in her bedroom.

Ah, to be a kid again. Maybe next year at this time we'll have another Musatov running (well, they wouldn't be running yet) around. I can hope, can't I?

To the two people that read my blog, may your holidays be special and your hearts be full!

Grateful

I had my 30th birthday party this weekend, on Saturday! I woke up, looked out the window, and waited for the "I'm sorry, I need to cancel" calls to start rolling in. Surprisingly only a few people needed to cancel. I was happy and grateful that so many people made the trip to my parent's house to help roll in my 30th year. A BIG thank you to my mom and sister for making the party happen - you guys mean the world to me! I'm a lucky girl. After the party at my mom's, we headed to Maxx to see an 80's band (Rockit Science). Good times. Here are a couple pics from the occasion!

Weekend Plans

Happy Friday, everyone!

At a work function the other day, I was the lucky winner of an overnight hotel stay in the Twin Cities. Tomorrow our plan is to go see the Christmas display at Macy's downtown, and then stay in the hotel overnight. Should be fun. Ally and Adam can swim, I can watch from the sidelines. You think I'm putting a swimsuit on? Heck no!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Stay warm.

Bowling

Last week, me, Ally, my sister Vanessa, her boyfriend Joe, my mom and my dad all went bowling at Ham Lake Lanes. It was Ally's second time bowling, and she actually got shoes this time. Smallest size they had was a 9, she's a 6 1/2, so they were a bit big, but cute nonetheless. Here are a few pictures of the fun occasion!

Guess which one is Ally? Cute.

Help me, auntie!

Good Point

My friend Angie had such a great point when she wrote this post. It's something we should all keep in mind.
'And these are the days of Angie's life...': Be thankful and don't forget what this season is REALLY about

Kids say the darndest things

Last night, Ally and I were laying in bed watching Friday Night Lights on DVD (LOVE that show, by the way). Adam came into the room and was kinda messing with Ally, asking if he could lay in bed with us. She said "knock it off, go away right now". It was so darn cute. We were just shocked to hear her say that - where do kids pick this stuff up? Someone at school must like to say that or something. She's certainly becoming her own person, that's for sure. They grow up too quick.

Children's Museum

Yesterday, me and my friends Kelly and Amie took our kids (the toddlers at least) to the Children's Museum. The kids and the moms had a blast! Here are a few pictures to enjoy. I'm also going to attempt to post a video too.

Gobble, Gobble

By far, the BEST Thanksgiving movie EVER! If you haven't seen it, what are you thinking?! Go rent it (or better yet, buy it from the $5 bin at Wal Mart) now! This movie is definitely a tradition in my family. We all stuff our faces with turkey and cheesy potatoes, and then sit around and watch PT&A. Good times!

There was a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast at Ally's school (www.northernvoices.org) yesterday. Great food, good company, and of course the kids sang a Thanksgiving song. It was so cute, I wish I had pictures, but I forgot my camera. Ally didn't sing, but she did nervously lift up her shirt. It's cute now when she's 3. Now if she does that when she's 16, we'll have problems.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I know I'm thankful for all my friends and family.

Gobble, gobble :)

Fashionista

I love this pic - how cute is my little girl?
Kind of looks like she's going to stick her finger in that light socket, but rest assured, there is a plug in there. ;)

We recently had pictures taken down by St. Anthony Main - here is the link!

More Halloween Pics

Here are a few more shots from Halloween. We didn't get to go trick or treating this year, but next year we will for sure! This is from Northern Voices, they had a nice Halloween party.

Someone's got a case of the Monday's...but it's Tuesday!

Yep, that's me! Well, my "case of the Monday's" did start out last night, so technically I can say that. I got a call from my 2nd job saying that they have to cut my shift. Business just isn't as busy as they would like, so they had to cut my one night a week shift (Saturday). I'm not too broken up about it I guess. I would usually end up asking for the night off anyway - but the extra cash was nice to have around when I would work. They said I could pick up shifts if someone wanted the night off, so that's a nice option, especially come Winter when Adam will most likely slow down at his job. Anyway, this morning I woke up late, didn't get to blowdry my hair, forgot my purse at home. Oh, also forgot my make up (hey pasty!), my money, cell phone, and my badge for work. Doh!

Yep, you could say I have a case of the "Tuesday's"! Someone did bring in donuts today though, so I might just have to have one thankyouverymuch.

So Happy!

Good morning! We went and got family pictures taken this weekend at St. Anthony Main. They were taken by Agape Moments, and we couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. Here is one, but you can view them all at: http://www.agapemoments.net/112508musatov

Little Tiger

Here is a pic of Ally from the Northern Voices Halloween party. This is stolen from her teacher Jackie's blog. I'll post a couple pics I took, when I find the cord for my camera!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! On another note, we're getting family pictures taken this weekend. I'm excited. We've never gotten a professional portrait taken of the 3 of us. When I get the pics, I'll post some.

Vegas Pics

Well, I made it home alive! And since I don't have internet at home (yes, I know I'm living in prehistoric times, but at least I have a computer, I'm just too cheap to get internet). Anywho, I had to find the time to update the blog at work. Bad girl, Anna! I'll post some of my favorite pics of the trip:

At the bar, waiting to fly out of MSP (yes, at the bar already)

Are we there yet?

We rented a Mustang convertible - great car, but not so easy to fit 4 huge suitcases and 4 people in. Oh well, we only had to drive to the hotel. I lost all feeling in my legs before we arrived.

We stayed at The Riviera

Driving to Hoover Dam, at Hoover Dam, and finally - a stop at In-n-Out Burger (notice how burnt I am - I don't think my skin could be any more sensitive)

The show "Crazy Girls" was at our hotel, so we had to pose next to the naked butts in front of the hotel

Our last night, we went Downtown Vegas and had a beer at this nightclub in the Golden Nugget - it was called Golddiggers

The lightshow on Fremont Street - AWESOME! This one was to the song "American Pie" by Don McLean

One more thing:

I'm just sayin.

Vegas, baby, Vegas!

Yep, you guessed it - I'm going to Vegas! Me, my mom, and my sister's Missy and Vanessa are leaving tomorrow at 2:00, and we'll arrive in Vegas at 4:00 PM. I'm so excited. I've been to Vegas before, but probably 5-6 years ago. I'm interested in seeing how things have changed. It truly is the adult Disneyland. We're going to the Tournament of Kings show at the Excalibur. Everytime I think about it, I'm reminded of that scene from Cable Guy where Matthew Broderick and Jim Carrey go to Medieval Times. Hilarious!

My mom was generous enough to take us on this trip, she is the BEST! We'll make some memories, I'm sure. Missy and Vanessa have never been to Vegas, and I know they'll have an absolute blast. Watch out, here we come!!! I'll post pics when we return.

Tea Party

We had Hope and April over for a sleepover this past weekend. We all had fun! They had a little "tea" party w/ water and Teddy Grahams. They each had a Kid Cuisine for dinner, and later that night, we watched Wild Hogs (per Hope and April's request). I forgot how cute and funny that movie is. Anywho, here are some pics of the "tea" party. They're so cute!
